Terms and Conditions
Last updated: July 14, 2026
Please read these terms carefully before installing or using Jukebot. By installing Jukebot on a Slack workspace, or by using it within a workspace where it's installed, you agree to be bound by these terms.
Who we are
Jukebot ("we", "us", "our") is operated from the United Kingdom. These terms form the agreement between us and whoever installs or uses Jukebot ("you").
What Jukebot is
Jukebot is a Slack app that lets a team build and curate a shared Spotify playlist from within Slack — searching for and adding tracks, reacting to what's been added, and seeing what the team's been listening to. It doesn't control playback or play music itself.
One workspace member (the "installer") connects a Spotify account during setup. That connection is used to manage the shared playlist on behalf of the whole workspace. Other members don't need to connect anything to search, add tracks, or react.
Installing Jukebot
You must have the authority to install apps on your Slack workspace, or the permission of whoever does, before installing Jukebot. You represent that you are at least 18 years old and, if you're installing Jukebot on behalf of an organization, that you're authorized to accept these terms for that organization.
There's no separate Jukebot account or password to manage — access is entirely through your organization's Slack workspace and, for the installer, Spotify's own OAuth sign-in.
Acceptable use
When using Jukebot, you agree not to:
- Use the shared playlist or any part of the service to request, add, or promote unlawful, infringing, or abusive content;
- Attempt to circumvent Slack's or Spotify's rate limits, access controls, or the scopes Jukebot requests;
- Use Jukebot to scrape, resell, or redistribute Spotify catalog data outside of ordinary use of the Service;
- Use Jukebot's access to your Slack workspace or Spotify account for anything other than the shared playlist experience it's designed for.
The installer is responsible for the Spotify account they connect, including that account's own compliance with Spotify's Developer Terms of Service.
Slack and Spotify
Jukebot operates through the Slack and Spotify platforms and their APIs. Using Jukebot also means complying with Slack's and Spotify's own terms of service. We aren't responsible for changes either platform makes that affect Jukebot's availability or functionality, and we may need to change how Jukebot works in response.
Pricing
Jukebot is currently free to use. We may introduce paid plans or usage limits in the future. If we do, we will give reasonable notice before any change takes effect for your workspace, and continued use of Jukebot after that point means you accept the new terms.
Intellectual Property
Jukebot and its original content, features, and functionality (excluding content generated by you or other users, and excluding Spotify's own catalog data) are and remain our property and that of our licensors, protected by applicable copyright and trademark law. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used without our prior written consent.
Your Feedback to Us
If you send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas about Jukebot, you grant us a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide right to use it without restriction or obligation to you.
Termination
You may stop using Jukebot at any time by uninstalling it from your Slack workspace. We may suspend or terminate a workspace's access to Jukebot, without prior notice, if we reasonably believe these terms have been breached or the service is being misused.
Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
Jukebot is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind. We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every configuration of Slack or Spotify.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to Jukebot is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or £100 if you haven't paid us anything. We aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, profits, or business interruption.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that can't lawfully be excluded or limited, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of Jukebot will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections you're entitled to in your own country of residence.
If you have a concern or dispute, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally.
Severability
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that part will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the rest of these terms will remain in full effect.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If a change is material, we'll make reasonable efforts to give at least 30 days' notice before it takes effect, and we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use Jukebot after a change takes effect means you accept the revised terms.
